Pregnancy with low AMH and high FSH

11. November 2020 16:17

I am a 33 year old, with a very good gynaecology history, stable period etc. However, my blood test (on day 18 of a 28 day cycle) show FSH 17 and AMH of 1. Can I still get pregnant spontaneously (I have been trying now for 5 months) ? I do not have a family history of early menopause. My GP did not give me any proper advice. Any recommendations?

I would ask your GP to repeat AMH and FSH tests on your next 2nd cycle day. If they still are low, you have a small chance if your husband sperm analysis is normal. Don’t forget to have him testet as well. Your GP kan refer him for a sperm analysis at Rigshospitalet. However, the chances are small if your AMH is 1. I suggest you discuss a referral to a Fertility Clinic with you GP.
