How to start?

8. July 2018 09:53

Dear doctor,

I’m Asian and would like to have a child of an Asian race, like Japanese.
1. Can I choose a sperm of the donor? I mean can I see the background information of the donor, like his height, skin colour, race, over all profile, etc.?
2. Can I choose my child’s gender?
3. Is it possible to have a twin with 2 genders, boy and girl?
4. I really have no idea what to do and start, so would you recommend the alternatives? I’m 34 expecting to get pregnant in May next year. What should I start? What treatment will fit me?
5. Doing so is illegal in my country, will it affect any process if I try to have a child from here?

I’m really serious about this, so please suggest.

Thank you in advance.

If you are living in Japan I suggest you find a clinic that is closer to your home. You can choose your own sperm donor at buy the sperm directly at a sperm bank. You cannot choose the gender, that is illegal, and we have to omit twins. Kind regards, Ursula Bentin-Ley
