FSH and spontaneous pregnancy

I am 39 years old and we have two kids. My hunsband has normal sperm quality. We want to have another child. My AMH is 19 pmol/l and my FSH is 10,1 (measured on cycle day 3). Is it difficult to become pregnant spontaneously if my FSH is so high?

Dear A Your blood tests regarding your ovarian reserve are very fine. You are not close to menopause yet. Your challenge is your age. The elder you are, the more eggs have small chromosomal aberrations. Once the egg becomes fertilised, the embryo development stops again due to chromosome aberrations, and the embryo will not implant in the uterus. You will have to wait another month until you ovulate to have another try. A woman age 35 has a 12% chance of conception per cycle, a woman age 40 has 6% chance per cycle. Sp it will take longer time before you succeed. You can read more about the connection between alge and chance of pregnancy on my blog (https://ivf.dk/hvorfor-saetter-mine-aeg-sig-ikke-fast/). The subject of the post is not spontaneous pregnancy, however, everything you can read about age and chance of pregnancy is also valid for spontaneous pregnancies.
